Jo was inspired to start The Face Lab based on her experience with struggling with her own skin and a passion for a holistic approach to beauty coupled with scientific-backed treatments. As she entered her mid-career nursing her curiosity and interest in the relationship between skin, ageing, mental health, and wellness began to grow. Living in Toronto, Canada she identified a gap in providing inclusive and holistic anti-ageing and rejuvenating treatments for people from all genders and Fitzpatrick skin types. Her eye for natural beauty blended with a background in evidence-based medicine and psychiatric-mental health expertise allows her to practise aesthetic medicine through a unique lens. After spending many years helping her patients feel better on the inside - her goal is to promote diversity in beauty and help patients strengthen the link between inner and outer beauty.
